Jean-Luc DECLAS, 56, has joined the DIMOTRANS group (1,250 employees, € 250 million in sales in 2016) as Chief Executive Officer.
Alongside the Group’s Chairman and main shareholder, Salvatore ALAIMO, he will be responsible for continuing, along with the members of the Board, the deployment of the EVOLO strategic plan, the aim of which is to reach € 500 million in sales by 2020.
Previously Senior Vice President of Development for XPO Supply Chain Europe, after having held general management positions at Norbert Dentressangle and Giraud Logistics in France and internationally, Jean-Luc DECLAS has a solid experience in Supply Chain and in the management of large multinational organizations
“With the recent acquisitions of H.DUCROS and MAXITRANS, we recorded a 47% increase in sales compared to 2016’s first quarter, with € 160 million in sales at the end of June.
To continue in this growth perspective and to conquer the markets on which our ambitions will position us tomorrow, I found it essential to structure our Group by developing its organization and its general management.
By hiring Jean-Luc DECLAS, I chose an international profile with the rigor of “big groups”.
His developer skills, his indisputable leadership and his conviction that tomorrow a company like DIMOTRANS can be a real alternative to the major the supply chain companies, have strongly influenced my decision”
“His human qualities, which are essential to embody DIMOTRANS’ values that have been the group’s DNA for more than 35 years, were also deciding factors.”, said Salvatore ALAIMO
